Abigail Adams "Remember the Ladies" Sticker

In 1776, Abigail Adams wrote a letter to her husband, John Adams, urging him to “remember the ladies” as he and the Continental Congress worked on the laws for the new American nation. She warned that if women were not given more rights, they might rise up against male authority. Though John Adams responded lightheartedly, dismissing her plea, Abigail’s words became an early call for women’s rights in the United States.
