April 18, 1775 – Paul Revere and William Dawes are dispatched from Old North Church by Joseph Warren. Both men embarked on their mission to warn the colonial militia of approaching British forces.

Revere set out from Boston, crossing the Charles River and riding through the towns of Charlestown and Medford before reaching Lexington – a journey fraught with danger as he navigated through British patrols and hostile territory. His primary goal was to alert Samuel Adams and John Hancock, key leaders of the American Revolution, about the impending British march to arrest them and seize colonial arms stored in Concord. Revere was captured by British officers at a site known today as Battle Road and held for a brief time. He was questioned and then escorted back towards Lexington along with three other men who had been detained. When close to town, he was released, though his horse had been confiscated.

Meanwhile, William Dawes took a separate route, leaving Boston through the land route over Boston Neck. He rode through Roxbury, Brookline, and other towns, also heading towards Lexington. Despite facing similar risks as Revere, Dawes successfully delivered his warning.

Our "Midnight Ride" t-shirt celebrates the rides of Revere and Dawes, and even features a waxing gibbous moon, depicting an accurate lunar cycle on the night of April 18, 1775.

Printed on a durable, shrink-resistant, and ultra-soft blend of 60% Polyester, 40% Cotton. Our shirts will never crack or peel! Using a superior water-based discharge process that replaces the color of the fabric, rather than leaving a layer of scratchy plastisol on top, Liberty & Co. shirts only look better and more vintage with wear.
