The Liberty flag was designed, by commission, in 1775 by Colonel William Moultrie, to prepare for war with Great Britain. It flew above Fort Moultrie at the Battle of Sullivans Island on June 28, 1776.

Made in Greenville, SC USA. Built on the Richardson 112 Adjustable Snapback

It was flown by his troops in the successful defense of Sullivan's Island against the British fleet on June 28, 1776.
